Influences:

I like almost every kind of music, from classical to jazz, rock, pop, flamenco, fusion, house, etc.

I don’t put limitations on music. If it sounds good, it is good.

John Scofield, Steve Vai, Pat Matheny, Manuel Granados Al Jarreau, Paco de Lucia, Robben Ford, Joe Satriani, Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Vicente Amigo, Marcus Miller, Duke Ellington, Prince, James Brown, and many others.

 

 

 


Biography:

Born in Oporto, Portugal, Nuno started to play guitar at the age of thirteen.

He finished his music studies in electric guitar at L’Aula de Musica Moderna y Jazz (Barcelona), and flamenco guitar at Conservatori Superior de Musica del Liceu (Barcelona), under the direction of Manuel Granados.

 

 

He’s also studied with musicians like Horácio Fumero, Paco Salas, Marcelo Valente, and Tolo Morelo, among others.

Currently, Nuno lives in Barcelona, Spain where he is a teacher at L’Aula de Musica Moderna y Jazz del Conservatori del Liceu.  He teaches electric guitar, Guitar Laboratory, Improvisation and Working Band. At the music school Els Flotats (Barcelona), he teaches flamenco guitar.

Nuno also plays live, with many different artists, and he does solo flamenco guitar concerts.


 


A few words about me:

I was born in the beautiful city of Oporto (Portugal) in 1973.

I started playing guitar at the age of thirteen.

I lived in Oporto until I was twenty-two, when my desire to learn more about music took me to the city of Barcelona where I lived and studied.

I have recently returned to Barcelona where I work in the professional music and musical education sectors.
